We were privately founded by Mr. Ira Poon, a businessman and Hong Kong native who made the U.S. his adoptive home. The museum was built to help promote knowledge of ancient Chinese history and culture. Our location in Katy, Texas was chosen due it's proximity to Houston, which boasted the third largest Asian population in the United States, and the many rice fields which reminded the owner of China. Striving to keep the museum as authentic as could be, all of our exhibits were made in China with as much accuracy and detail as possible.
